University of Findlay to host Homegrown Habitat event featuring renowned author, native plant specialist, and conservationist Doug Tallamy.
Author and conservationist Doug Tallamy will take center stage at the Homegrown Habitat event on April 27. The event will take place at Winebrenner on the campus of University of Findlay (950 N. Main St.). Doors open at 9 a.m. and Tallamy's presentation will begin at 10 a.m.

Various local organizations will set up displays and exhibits, including the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership, Hancock County Naturalists, Hancock Park District, University of Findlay, Owens Community College, among others.
The cost to attend is $25 per person and $10 per student. Tickets are available online at homegrownhabitat.org. Registration is required, as there will be no ticket sales at the door. Admission includes a native plant and continental breakfast.
